Young Males Make Positive Change

St. Helens Council’s Youth Service staff will work with a hard to reach group of young males.  They have devised a 12-week programme of training workshops for young people that will enable them to take on the mantle of positive role models. They will then disseminate the leadership skills that they learn with their peers and make positive change.

The Council say the project will lead to more positive attitudes, higher self-esteem and self-confidence.  It is hoped that this will be a rolling programme with 10 more young people taking up the challenge after the first 12 week programme is complete and so on.

Completion of the programme will lead to accredited awards.

The workshops will be on Friday evenings between 6.30 - 9.30pm.
