News from Court

Those convicted of offences should not expect to be 'invisible' to the communities they have harmed through their actions. If someone is convicted in court, then it is a matter of public record and you are entitled to know the results (unless a court imposes restrictions on reporting).

24th August 2017

Kieran Leyland, 28 of Brampton Court stole goods valued at £68.99 from the PREMIER shop in Haydock on the 12th August 2017.  He committed a further six offences of theft from shops in the Haydock area for which he was sentenced to fourteen weeks imprisonment.

Loretta Josephine Clinton, 27 years from North Road stole £30.00 worth of groceries from the ICELAND store on the 8th August 2017.  She was made subject to twelve months Conditional discharge.

30th August 2017

Anthony Stephen Winstanley, 43 years from The Shires stole £135.00 worth of goods from the TESCO store on the 8th March 2017 where he also caused criminal damage to a ceiling there.  He was required to pay a fine of £80.00. 

5th September 2017

Brian Gill, 45 years of Alder Street, Newton Le Willows was found to be in possession of a controlled drug - amphetamine - on Speakman Avenue on the 16th August 2017.  He was fined £80.00 with a further £115.00 costs/victims surcharge to be paid.
