If you have been a victim of rape or sexual assault do
not suffer in silence. Here is a quick guide on how to
access support in St Helens for victims.
Please remember....
- It is not your fault, the fault lies entirely
with the person who raped or assaulted you.
- You are not alone, services are in place for
both females and males, who have been sexually assaulted recently
or any time in the past.
- There is help available, talk to somebody you
trust, who can support you and call your nearest Sexual
Assault Referral Centre (SARC).
In St Helens our centre is SafePlace Merseyside.
They can be contacted on 0151 295 3550, 24-hours a day, 365 days a
year.
Alternatively the Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre (RASASC)
provides counselling and group work, support and information, as
well as a young people's service. They can be contacted
on 01744 877 987 or via email [email protected]
See the list of useful links for websites, which may be
able to offer you help and support.
