Wiping out graffiti in Thatto Heath
In January whilst on high visibility patrols in Thatto Heath,
Police Community Support & Traffic Officers Adrian Beaumont and
Pauline Potts, noticed graffiti had been daubed on the library
walls.
To address this issue, photographs of the graffiti tags were
taken.
The Shaw Trust were contacted to see if their Community Volunteers
were available to assist with removing the graffiti.
In addition, the Shaw Trust volunteers assisted in distributing a
letter to the local community advising them that Police and
partners were committed to tackling anti-social behaviour in the
area and encouraged them to contact the Police if they were aware
of who was responsible for the graffiti tags.
The graffiti was subsequently removed utilizing the graffiti kits,
supplied by St Helens Council.
