Good Guys in town
As well as staging Halloween parties
and sports camps, the diversionary campaign will see Merseyside
Police and Community Safety Partners targeting hot spot areas which
have experienced some problems with anti-social and nuisance
behaviour - particularly at this time of year.
Councillor Susan Murphy, Cabinet Member for Safer Communities,
Neighbourhoods and Youth says, "As well as targeting nuisance fires
over the bonfire period by encouraging residents to report the
build up of waste, we're looking to cut the anti-social behaviour
and criminal damage that often accompanies Halloween and Bonfire
Night.
"It's illegal to sell fireworks to under 18's or to set off or
throw fireworks in the street and could actually lead to a £5000
fine. It is also very dangerous, particularly for children. Stay
safe, respect your neighbours, and encourage young people to attend
some of the fun alternatives we have on offer!"
Activities on offer for youngsters include;

skates 5:00 -7:30pm
