Off-road is off limits
The campaign to rid public places of nuisance off-roaders
chalked up another success last week - with the seizure
of a motorbike in Nutgrove.
Neighbours contacted police to report the rider after he was
spotted on public land near Foxwood.
PC Andy Tomkinson (pictured) and PCSO Lesley Anslow arrived at
the scene and, following a brief search, found the machine in
nearby woods. It will now be crushed.
Councillor Richard McCauley, St Helens Council's Cabinet Member
for Environmental Protection and Safer Communities said: "St Helens
Council and its Community Safety partners are committed to stopping
these nuisance riders who make life a misery for some of our
communities.
"It's another great result and one that hopefully sends a clear
message to other riders tempted to use their machines in parks or
on public land."
