Young people's designs on summer fun
Look out for a new fun brochure highlighting six weeks
of summer fun for all launched to coincide with the impending
school holidays.
The bright new booklet is the annual St.Helens Council guide to
a wide range of activities throughout summer and lists events and
activities taking place across the borough.
The bright new design has been developed in consultation with
young people who wanted to ensure that the guide was bright,
colourful and appealing to the younger audience.
Summer Fun in St.Helens 2012 has it all. Whether you are looking
for skatepark locations, the exciting range of events at Darkstar
Laser, outdoor and indoor activities, sporting event the guide will
point you in the right direction. It contains calendar style
listings and a youth friendly map to help pinpoint locations and
details of everything from free swimming lessons and sports
sessions to arts activities, beach trips and free football.
Council Leader, Marie Rimmer CBE said: "The brochure is the
perfect family companion for the summer and we want the residents
of St.Helens to be aware of the fantastic arts, sports, culture and
youth provision available. We hope they will get involved with the
events and activities on offer."
The brochures will be distributed to every household via the
St.Helens Star. However, a limited number of copies will also be
available from St.Helens Libraries, leisure centres, children's
centres and youth clubs.
